Line Design
Final
Inventories/Process
Focusing on the elements and principles of design I used inspiration photos and ideas from my brain to create these patterns of line, texture, and shape. Each column shares a similar subject and style and all of them come together to complete the sheet and be a whole. I completed them in order from left to right starting my focus on shape then moving to line and then finishing with texture. Positive and negative space were a major focus but a major goal for this section was to maintain excellent craftsmanship. I had messed up an a few parts but I was able to problem solve to clean it up. It was a pretty successful project but I did a lot of practice squares before settling on the twelve styles that I put on my final. Some of my brainstorm sketches can be seen to the right. This exercise was to prepare for the second part of the project which is a larger composition incorporating numerous different types of line shape and texture using micron pens and bristol board.
